Built by farmers. Built for farmers.

SquadBuilt Inc. is an independent video game studio and the creator of the American Farming franchise. We make farming simulation games rooted in real American agriculture: American equipment, American farmsteads, American towns, and the way farming is actually done across the Midwest.

Where We Started

SquadBuilt started with a simple idea: build farming games that capture true American agriculture. Our founder, Grant Hilbert, grew his YouTube channel, The Squad, to over 1.5 million subscribers and more than 650 million views. Along the way, he spent years listening to that audience describe exactly what they wanted in a farming game: American equipment, American farms, and the way farming is really done here.

In 2020, SquadBuilt Inc. was founded to build that game. Grant is also a working row crop farmer, and that firsthand experience in the field shapes every decision we make.

American Farming

After three years of development, our debut title, American Farming, launched on iOS and Android in November 2023. The game introduced players to large-scale American row crop farming, livestock operations, and a map set in the heart of the Midwest, featuring equipment from real agricultural brands. It went on to become the highest-rated farming simulation game on mobile.

American Farming 2

In August 2026, we released American Farming 2, a free-to-play sequel that expands the franchise with multiplayer, a broader equipment lineup from licensed manufacturers, helicopters for aerial spraying, expanded livestock, realistic grain drying, and detailed crop fertility management. It is the biggest project SquadBuilt has taken on to date, and we will keep building on it with new maps, equipment, and features.

What We Believe

Every member of our team shares a passion for agriculture, and that lets us put more care and detail into the games we make. We work to strike the right balance between authentic farming and fun, playable gameplay, we listen closely to our players, and we want every game we release to reflect the pride and hard work of the American farmer.
